SERVICE CHANGES - 17th February 2019
Changes to our bus services will be taking place from Sunday 17th February 2019. As a result of Hampshire County Council Public Bus Consultation and to improve our service punctuality, the changes will see amendments to a number of services. Please see below a list of details and services affected. If you require additional information please call our Traffic team on 023 8064 4715 or email email@example.com.
Following consultation with Hampshire County Council and Eastleigh Borough Council there will be a reduction in journeys operating to and from Hiltingbury. The service will provide THREE journeys in either direction between Chandlers Ford Station and Fryern Hill Monday to Friday. All other journeys on Saturdays will terminate at Fryern Hill and on Sundays and Public Holidays at Velmore. The journeys funded by VIVID and Eastleigh Borough Council will be WITHDRAWN with last bus from Eastleigh Bus Station at 1815 Monday to Saturday.
This will only operate on Sundays and Public Holidays as a link between Eastleigh Bus Station and Boyatt Wood. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening journeys will be WITHDRAWN. The Sunday and Public Holiday service X9 via Boyatt Wood to Colden Common will be WITHDRAWN.
The Sunday and Public Holiday service X9 to Colden Common will be WITHDRAWN. Service X8 on Sundays and Public Holidays will provide a service to Boyatt Wood from Eastleigh Bus Station. The Schooldays only service X9A will divert as follows: normal route to Bishops Waltham then Coppice Hill, Shore Road, Cricklemede, Hoe Road to Swanmore College. The 1702 Bishops Waltham to Eastleigh Monday to Saturday journey will depart at 1711 and arrive at Eastleigh Bus Station at 1820 instead of 1811.
The 1615 journey from Southampton Bargate Street will have increased running time arriving Bishops Waltham Square at 1706 instead of 1658.
There will only be ONE round trip on Wednesdays with this service starting from Eastleigh Bus Station. It will operate via Bishopstoke Road, Fair Oak Square and Lower Upham to Bishops Waltham then normal route to Petersfield Square and Tesco.
From MONDAY 25th FEBRUARY, the following changes take place:
SERVICE 191 to 196
These services will be available to the general public to use for local journeys following requests.
SERVICE 403 & 410
The second journey from Fareham will now merge with the 410 and be known as that operating over the full route rather than the current 403 route.
The 1425 journey from the college will now operate in the reverse direction dropping at Tesco Bursledon first then through to Bitterne Park.
The morning journey to Thornden School will be withdrawn. This decision is due to the increased traffic congestion in the area causing the service to operate late. The number of students using this service has declined and it is no longer sustainable to continue. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. The afternoon journey will continue without change.
The Boorley Green to Hedge End Station peak hour service will be WITHDRAWN with last day being Friday 22nd MARCH.
